All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Winston-Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services are being vetted and may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

Winston-Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center provides supervised medication assisted treatment to individuals ages 18 and older who are battling an addiction to opioids. Our dedicated team of nurses, physicians, and counselors understands the complexities associated with an addiction to these powerful substances. By using a comprehensive treatment approach, patients are given the opportunity to process the emotional and physical aspects of their addiction while progressing towards a future free from opioid abuse. The following medications are available for patients to incorporate into their treatment plans:

Methadone: As a synthetic opioid agonist, methadone safely eliminates cravings for continued opioid use while diminishing painful symptoms of withdrawal. Use of this medication will not cause patients to experience feelings of euphoria, which allow individuals its ability to actively play a role in their treatment.

Subutex: Subutex is a partial opioid agonist-antagonist that features buprenorphine as its active ingredient in order to reduce withdrawal symptoms and eliminate cravings for additional opioid use.

Suboxone: Containing buprenorphine and naloxone as its active ingredients, Suboxone reduces withdrawal symptoms while eliminating cravings for continued opioid use. Unlike other medications available in treatment, Suboxone will cause patients to experience withdrawal symptoms should they attempt to abuse opioids during the course of treatment.

The medication prescribed, as well as the individual dosage given, is dependent upon the unique requirements of each individual patient. Adjustments to medications can be made throughout the course of treatment if necessary.

In addition to the medication assisted treatment available through Winston-Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center, patients are invited to incorporate the use of therapeutic interventions into their customized plan of treatment. The following are designed to further the likelihood that lasting recovery will occur:

  • Individual therapy sessions provide patients with the opportunity to work one-on-one with a highly qualified counselor in order to address and process the underlying causes of their addictive behaviors. These sessions also provide the opportunity to work through any questions or issues that may arise during the course of treatment
  • Group therapy sessions are counselor-led sessions that give patients the opportunity to work alongside other individuals who are also receiving treatment for addiction. By working with their peers, patients are able to receive support and encouragement from other individuals who understand the challenges linked to recovery. These sessions promote open communication in a safe and educational environment.

The all-inclusive treatment available through Winston-Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center provides patients with opportunity to safely progress toward a life free from the dangerous cycle of opioid addiction.
